First up is one of the most popular locations in the lakes: Keswick. This quaint market town has become somewhat of a hub in the district, offering travellers everything they could need for the duration of their stay; there are shops, restaurants, bars, activities, and of course, a lake right on your doorstep. With all these amenities right in front of you, you’re sure to be able to have a great trip to the lake district. During the day you’ll be able to take a refreshing walk around the water and up to some of the local peaks, whilst your nights will be filled with fine dining at restaurants such as the Brossen Steakhouse! Our last highlighted destination is Ullswater, which is the 2nd largest lake in the UK – sitting in an idyllic setting amongst the mountains to the south and soft rolling hills to the north, it’s one of the most picturesque places in the country. The Lake District is one of the UK’s most beautiful places – it feels like it’s from a completely different world to that of the big cities of London, Glasgow, Birmingham, and Liverpool where it’s all hustle, bustle, and work.
